Support & Advocacy

Walking beside families with guidance, compassion, and a voice that ensures no one faces the NICU journey alone.

Support & Advocacy

The NICU journey is overwhelming—filled with medical jargon, endless appointments, and life-altering decisions no parent ever expects to make. Families often feel like they are drowning in information yet starving for guidance, connection, and a voice that understands.

That’s where The Brave Foundation steps in.

  • Disclaimer: The Brave Foundation exists to educate, empower, and bring moments of joy to parents by providing resources and support so they do not face the same struggles we once did. We are not medical professionals, nor do we seek to replace their expertise or years of training. Our role is to share experiences, tell our stories, and offer encouragement. The support and resources we provide are not intended to replace medical advice, nor should they substitute the guidance of your physician or other qualified healthcare providers.

  • Family Support: We walk alongside parents with encouragement and listening ears—reminding them they are not alone. This has included bedside visits to offer comfort and in-person meetings to help parents process their experiences and ask questions. We share from a place of extensive personal experience—not as trained professionals, but as parents who have lived the NICU journey ourselves.
  • Advocacy: We stand as a voice for NICU families and medically complex children, raising awareness about their unique needs and pushing for greater understanding in hospitals, schools, and communities.

  • Community Connection: We bring families together, helping them find strength in shared experiences. This includes hosting a parent support group on Facebook—a safe space where moms and dads who have or are walking the NICU journey can connect, encourage one another, and build lasting bonds of resilience.

Support & Advocacy isn’t about fixing every problem—it’s about making sure families feel seen, heard, and equipped to keep going, one day at a time.
